Farmhouse Style Coffee Table Makeover With Furniture Paint and Glaze
This rustic, farmhouse style coffee table was created by Abbey from Painted Home Goods with All-in-One Decor Paint and Furniture Glaze!
While I loved the shape and planked top of this coffee table, it definitely needed an update and some damage repaired.
After fixing some teeth marks from a dog with Bondo, I tackled the water damage on the top. Though the damage was minor, sanding exposed a different texture in those areas since the top wasn’t solid wood.
After a coat of shellac to seal and protect against further damage, I tried a coat of stain but it didn’t take as well as I wanted so I adjusted my plan. I applied layers of Country Chic Paint Slate and Limestone glaze until I had the weathered wood look I wanted. Though it wasn’t what I originally intended I ended up liking the look so much more! Sealed with a couple coats of Clear Coat it’s now extremely durable.
For a classic farmhouse look I used Vanilla Frosting on the base and lightly distressed. With new matte black cup pulls on the drawers, this coffee table has a bright, fresh new look!
