Driftwood – A Warm Muted Brown Chalk Style Furniture Paint

April 19, 2023

Driftwood was inspired by the driftwood that washes ashore on our local west coast beaches. It's a muted warm brown that looks great on its own, or blended with similarly toned warm neutrals like Soiree. Use it for dry brushing to instantly add age and texture to any project.

Moulds and Blending with Driftwood and Sunday Tea

Kate of DezaRose Designs added resin floral moulds to this vintage dresser to give it a high class, updated look. She painted it in Driftwood and then used Sunday Tea to highlight the moulds. The entire piece was sealed with Clear Coat for shine and durability!

A True Trash to Treasure Furniture Flip

This bedroom set was headed for the scrap pile when Mindy of Mod Restoration got her hands on it!

She used Driftwood for the tops, sides and base, and then used a paint wash of the same color to highlight the natural grain of the solid wood drawers. This bedroom set is ready to be put back to work!
