Get the Look with Driftwood, Road Trip and Leather Bound
Our creators have been hard at work transforming these outdated furniture pieces into stunning updated looks in the September Colors of the Month: Road Trip, Driftwood and Leather Bound!
Let's take a look at their makeovers and the products they used to achieve these looks!
Driftwood was inspired by the driftwood that washes ashore on our local west coast beaches. It’s a muted warm brown that looks great on its own, or blended with similarly toned warm neutrals like Soiree. We love how Kelly of Moving Mountains Flips Furniture added this beautiful herringbone top using Driftwood as wash over the raw wood. Click here to see how she did it.
Road Trip is a happy medium beige with a sandy, khaki feel. It was the perfect choice for this serving cart makeover by Huibri of Happily Restored!
Leather Bound is a deep, rugged brown, reminiscent of a leather bound journal or dark roasted chestnuts. As the ultimate chocolate brown, Leather Bound would look great with crisp white accents using Simplicity. Rachel of Upcycled Smithery used it with the natural wood tones of this dresser for warm, weathered look. Click here to see a quick tutorial!
